One thing that makes me an effective developer is having a wealth of knowledge about a lot of different plugins and their strengths and weaknesses. This often means doing a lot of research when a new request comes up to make sure that the functional requirements are being met. In this process, I learn a lot about certain plugins that maybe I can recall at a later time that would be better suited for an alternate project. I also am looking for red flags while researching to make sure I’m using plugins that are well supported, have been proven to work, and “play nice” with other plugins.
