The Winchester Economic Development Authority needed a website that would coordinate with the site for the City of Winchester, yet still be a separate entity for the promotion of new businesses in the City. The goal is to effectively present the reasons for locating in Winchester, while showing the properties that are available to potential business owners.
We created the site based on a pre-established look and feel provided by the client. Along with bringing over existing EDA content from the City’s site, we set up a new property listing that can be used to show all of the available sites and buildings in the Winchester area; this is searchable by criteria such as property type and square footage. Additionally, we implemented a map of all properties, showing the types, units, and where they are located – the user can browse them by location on the map, then select one from the map for further details about that property. In addition, we custom designed a demographics ‘quick hit’ page that would be both graphically appealing to the viewer, but that is also easily update-able by the client as the demo data changes. The EDA is set to showcase Winchester to potential clients.
