What We’re Thankful For: Marketing Edition

Like most folks around Thanksgiving, we reflect and think about what we are thankful for. Work culture doesn’t get appreciated as much but there are still some things we can reflect on. Here at Web Strategies, we all enjoy aspects of our jobs.

Scheduling Posts
Creating and putting out content whether for us or a client can sometimes be a time-intensive activity. Instagram as well as other platforms have created schedulers that publish content when you want it to, eliminating the need to log in and post at that exact time.

The Internet!
As funny as it is, we’re all grateful that the internet exists. We wouldn’t have our jobs if it didn’t exist! It also allowed us to work from home during COVID but also on the occasional snow day! We often take time around the holidays to work from home to be near our families.

Our Fuzzy Cat Interns
We’re thankful for all the animals we have been able to help either directly or indirectly this year. We are a pet-friendly office and have had a few fun-sized interns that bop around and cause generalized mayhem from time to time. They keep the mood light and give us a good reason to come back to the office.

Helping the Community
We’re thankful that we are in a unique position to help the community with their marketing needs. Being able to assist small businesses in the area with websites and social posts is rewarding. We wouldn’t have been able to get through the year without them.

I asked the team what they were thankful for this year, here’s what they said:

Beth: “Being a good neighbor is so important. I’m thankful that our small business community works together to support each other through cross-marketing and social media sharing.”

Faye: “I’m thankful to have the ability to foster animals for the SPCA and that my workplace allows me to use space as needed to assist more animals when my home is full!”

Keri: “I am thankful that Web Strategies offers flexibility, whether it’s in terms of work hours, remote work options, or a healthy work-life balance.”

Emily: “I’m thankful for great managers that have been vital in my growth and development as a professional in the workplace. Knowing they have my back and value my work here means everything.”

It can be so easy to complain about situations or feel sorry for ourselves when life comes our way, but we’re all happy to have each other not only as colleagues but as women. We’re sure there will be many more things we can take thanks for over the next year.
