How to Get the Most Out Of Your Social Media Marketing

Whether you love social media or hate it, it’s become a necessary part of marketing. Sometimes, however, it can feel like we’re just spinning our wheels posting for no reason at all other than feeling like we “should.” Whether you implement this now or in the new year, here’s how to get the most out of your social media marketing.

1. Create a Strategy

We can’t really expect to succeed without a plan. Figure out what you want out of your social media following; online sales, leads, interest in a particular field, educating, in-person visit? Whatever the focus, you’ll want to craft your posts around supporting this goal. Trying to get someone to call? Make sure your number is listed in your profile and in your posts!

2. Add Value

As a business, it can be important to know why your followers are showing up for you. Give them a reason to stay and show others why they should be following you. Depending on your brand values and voice, there are different ways to approach this. We usually tell people to stay within these pillars: educate, inspire, entertain. Whatever your industry, there are ways to add value to your followers.

3. Stay Consistent

Show your followers when they can expect to see your content. Create a posting schedule and stick to it. We recommend posting as often as you can without losing post quality. If that’s once a week, great! If you can increase your frequency to three times a week, even better. Try to find a time of day your followers are most active and post then. Remember that you can now schedule posts to publish at certain times on most platforms.

If you can create a strategy, add value to your followers, and stay consistent, social media marketing can be a breeze. Need help on the follow through?
