Virginia Center for Literary Arts Website Design

The Virginia Center for Literary Arts

The Virginia Center for Literary Arts (VCLA) is a nonprofit organization seeking to advance the appreciation of and passion for the literary arts through programs that support expression, education, and the sharing of writing and literature. Their mission is to build and support a dynamic, innovative community that provides established and emerging writers with time and space to create, and the resources to encourage and inspire writers at all stages of their careers.

With this niche of a start-up, VCLA knew they needed a professionally executed website to help spread the word and to kick off their development and fundraising stage. We generated a strategy and plan for creating their online presence via a website, ENewsletter platform and social media. We built a website that featured “the who”, “the what”, “the why” and “the ask” to walk viewers through the journey. The design elements were built around the energy and inspiration VCLA will represent throughout their facility. We will continue to assist throughout the planning phase to focus on marketing their new venture to peak the interests of the local community and fellow artists.

“I have been a thoroughly satisfied client of Web Strategies for over five years, and the best evidence I can offer is having recommended their services to several friends/businesses (all of whom have, in turn, been happy). Beth Bates and her amazing team combine complete professionalism with cutting-edge technological savvy, and –not least– are fun and friendly. Web Strategies is the complete package for anyone hoping to navigate the messy and chaotic world of social marketing: they “get it” and not only provide ROI, but work with you to create the web presence you didn’t even imagine was possible. It’s a team effort in all the right ways (e.g., they welcome feedback and want to accommodate your wishes, however seemingly unrealistic–they make it happen!), but they also impart the confidence that, as a client, you can focus on the million other things that demand attention and they’ll make it all come together.”
